Cecily Legler Strong has been an extremely popular American actress, comedian, as well as a cast member on 'Saturday Night Live. Her first stage experience was in theater, but was drawn to stand-up comedy at nine after a class in improv. Her initial goal was to become an actor, however, she realized her passion was comedy. Then she switched to performing Improv. Her professional career started aboard a cruise vessel, singing with the other performers of Second City Conservatory & iO Chicago. Strong performed at large-scale events like Chicago Sketch Fest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Sketchfest and Virgin Daiquiri, an female-only improv troupe. She became famous in 2012 after she appeared as a cast member on "Saturday Night Live" in the 39th season as a member of the cast, anchoring Weekend Update with Seth Meyers first, as well as Colin Jost later. The character of Cecily from the show 'The Girls You'd Like to Not Begin a Conversation with at a Parties" was the most reminscent part of the show. That same year, she also made her movie debut with the release of a short movie titled 'How to Sponsor the Uterus'. She spoke out against how women are treated as just bikini models and female characters in the movies of Hollywood instead of strong female characters.
