Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer, and actress, best known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s television show Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began in stage shows during the 1950s starting by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the following years, she appeared on Broadway for a number of performances until 1957 when Li'l Abner made it big in the National Theatre. She also released her first music album It's Time for Tina that same year. Louise's first foray in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda as Griselda in the film God's Small Acre, which was a 1958 romantic drama. The film received widespread reviews. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. During this time she joined the Actors Studio in New York and became acquainted with Lee Strasberg as his student. The role that she was most famous for came through in 1964 after she joined CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise kept juggling her career across Broadway as well as Hollywood, portraying more somber roles as opposed to her image as an glamor girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. Since her debut, she's become a well-known director for the most popular TV shows, including Supernatural as well as The 100. Her birthplace was Essex on August 28th 1965 and her family moved to Toronto when she was three in the following years, where she lived growing up and in adolescence. She settled in Vancouver when she was chosen to play Samantha Carter.
