Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is an American author of cookery books and Emmy Award-winning host for the oldest Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons until 2020. Ina started her career writing nuclear energy policy documents and budgets for the White House. In the beginning, she was awed by the intellectual stimulation that came with her job, but soon was bored. Instead she bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty grocery store. After more than 18 years of making her shop a huge success she closed it down and began writing her first book. There were other cookbooks to follow, as did magazine columns. In addition, her Food Network TV show also was launched which was an enormous success. In addition, she sells everything from cooking equipment to ingredients and containers. Ina is a cook who has learned by herself that hasn't attended the cooking school nor had a job in the kitchen. She's known for her easygoing style of cooking and entertaining. Her most famous recipes are Lemon chicken that is skillet-roasted as well as Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac & Cheese Beef Bouguignon and the Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts, and Lemon Bars.
