Selena Gomez has a worldwide name as an actor and a singer. She's been a part of various projects. However, the Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place has been the most successful. Selena Marie Gomez, her full title is. She was born July 22 on the 22nd of July, 1992 at Grand Prairie Texas. The parents of Selena were Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Her mother was barely 16 at the time Selena arrived. When she was nine, Selena got her very first gig on stage when she was cast as Gianna by Barney and her Friends. Thus she became one of the children that were the only human-like purple dinosaur ever created. Selena was a part of several episodes in the seasons 7 and 8. The time period was 2001 to 2003. Selena wasn't the only performer who appeared in Barney and his Friends in this time period. Demi Loveto also worked in the series. Selena Gomez, after she left the TV series, was unsuccessful in auditions for films and other television shows. The role she was offered was a minor one in the 2003 movie Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D Game Over) and another like Julie on Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. The film also featured her as Emily Grace Garcia, a character she created musical to play in the 2006 film Brain Zapped.
