Selena Marie Gomez is her full name. Her full name is Selena Marie. The parents of Selena were Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Selena was the first child of her mother. She was barely sixteen when she reached the time of Selena. The year 2009 was when she landed her first role in show business, playing Gianna as Barney and her Friends. This was when she became one of the kids who were the only anthropomorphic purple dinosaur in history. Selena made an appearance in numerous episodes from seasons 7 and 8 from 2001-2003. Selena Gomez was not the sole singer to work on Barney And His Friends between 2001 and 2003. Demi Lorvato joined the cast too. After leaving the series Selena Gomez auditioned for several roles in other programs as well as films, but wasn't particularly successful. She had a smaller role on Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003 and another as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. The film also featured her in the role of Emily Grace Garcia, a role she developed musical to play in the 2006 film Brain Zapped.
